About Cephy
A lifelong fan of music from an early age, it took a global pandemic for Cephy to begin creating it. The appropriately named 'Intro' was the first, created initially as a pre-roll for DJ mixes. Creativity blossomed and other tracks soon followed, genre hopping to his heart's delight.
Early Cephy was light heart-ed, and trancey, as he explored what could be done. As tastes changed, a journey into progressively experimental power noise followed. Violins draped over harsh noise? Sure. A seasonal Christmas track, blended with pop punk and pounding power noise drum sequences? Why not? Two years into becoming a DJ and a musician, Cephy has settled into his niche, of experimental power noise, music made for the sake of music, eschewing the expected norms, and having fun doing it.
Recently he continued his exploration of electronic music with his side project N.0V8, releasing the first track from the upcoming EP. A foray into ambient noise gave us a new project in Beneath Stygian Wings. With a fourth project in the works, featuring hard techno one thing is certain about this artist- and that's uncertainty of what he will try next.
