Last Updated: June21, 2025
SonicCrypt respects intellectual property rights and the safety of its users. This page outlines the procedure for reporting content that you believe infringes your copyright, violates our Terms of Service, or is otherwise illegal or harmful.
1. Reporting Copyright Infringement (DMCA or similar)
If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content on SonicCrypt infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") [or your local equivalent, e.g., Urheberrechts-Diensteanbieter-Gesetz - UrhDaG in Germany] by providing our Copyright Agent (contact details in Imprint or or via Contact Form) with the following information in writing:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., direct URLs to the content).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
You can submit this information via our Contact Form, clearly marking the subject as "Copyright Infringement Notification", or to the email address provided in our Imprint for legal matters.
Counter-Notification
If you believe that your content that was removed (or to which access was disabled) is not infringing, or that you have the authorization from the copyright owner, the copyright owner’s agent, or pursuant to the law, to post and use the material in your content, you may send a counter-notice containing the following information to our Copyright Agent: [Detail your counter-notice procedure here, if applicable, which is common under DMCA].
2. Reporting Other Violations
To report content that you believe violates our Terms of Service (e.g., hate speech, harassment, illegal content not related to copyright), or any other concerns, please use our Contact Form.
Please provide the following information:
- The specific URL(s) of the content in question.
- A clear description of why you believe the content is problematic or violates our policies.
- Your contact information (name and email) so we can follow up if necessary (this will be kept confidential as per our Privacy Policy unless disclosure is legally required).
3. Our Process
Upon receiving a report, SonicCrypt will:
- Acknowledge receipt of your report if contact information is provided (we aim to do so within [e.g., 3-5 business days]).
- Review the reported content against our policies and applicable laws.
- Take appropriate action, which may include removing the content, warning the user, or suspending/terminating the user's account. The action taken will be at our sole discretion.
- We may contact the uploader of the content to inform them of the report and allow them a chance to respond, where appropriate.
- We strive to process reports. However, please note that we are a non-commercial, community-driven platform, and response times may vary.
Frivolous or bad-faith reports may be ignored or could result in action against the reporter's account.
